Hi, I purchased a new refrigerator. During the use, I hear high pitched clicking sound about every 30~60minutes - twice at a time with the space between noises of 2~3 seconds. Is it abnormal sound?

Sadly, high pitches are hard to diagnose as many adults lose their sensitivity as we get older.

Some new refrigerators will make more noise than your old one, and it is normal in most cases to hear the compressor cycling.

In my experience, some manufactuers are noiser than others. Out of curiosity, what brand and style is your new fridge?

I don't really know much about fridges, but does your fridge have an icemaker?

The one I purchased is LG LFC23760ST.

I know the sound for compressor cycling which is normal noise but the noise from my refrigerator is not just "noiser" than old one.

Compressor cycling sound is about the same as my old one but the clicking sound lasts only 2~3 seconds.

What I mean is that once the clicking sound hits my ear, one more cliking sound hits me just after 2~3 seconds since first sound.

It happens once an hour averagely.

It sounds like hitting something hard such as plastic.

I am living in condo which is not that big - around 1000sq.ft. - and can hear that sound even in the room with door closed.

The unit is greatly balanced.

Does it still normal sound?
