Hello, there is undoubtedly a problem with your product, because indeed the doors of this product are reversible. All the holes are there to enable you to change the direction of the doors. You only have to remove the hinges and to reverse them.

Okay then, is Future Shop going to get Curtis International to supply the missing parts so I can do so? Curtis tells me these are out of production. Future Shop tells me nobody has tried to reverse the doors before!!!???
Yes the holes are indeed there!
However, Two parts attached to the underside of each door are NOT reversible and are missing from the opposite side. If you try to put the right side ones on the left side they prevent the doors from closing.

I suggest you to return to the store where you bought your Igloo fridge and explain them the problem, i'm sure they will try to find a solution with you.

Just to satisfy my curiosity i tried reversing the doors on my demo model in the store and it worked out just fine with the hardware reversed.  Perhaps you are installing it incorrectly or possibly have a defective part in which case all instructions for door swing changes or defective products can be directed to the service line through Igloo # 1-800-968-9853.  Or you can go to your local future shop and our staff will be more than happy to assist you with your product and answer any questions or concerns you might have.

i have a small igloo bar fridge with same reversible door. i think you just place the same part just into different holes under the small plastic covers.

being the exact same hardware for either side its impossible to get a defective unit in which it doesn't reverse.

Curtis says there are no authorized repair facilities in Edmonton. The fridge ran for 15 months and stopped altogether. Local shops don't recognize the Igloo brand. Which manufactuer actually made this fridge? Any help would be appreciated. Jay

The hinges are not symetrical in any direction any more than your arms are. I know doctors could attach a left arm to your right side but that doesn't make it work the same.

Just so you know, I got parts shipped from China to make the door reversible but they mirrored across the wrong plane. I photographed the hinge parts and mirrored them in photoshop and sent them the image of what was required. They made them up and sent them. They work great (and properly).

Too bad that fridge has pooched after 3 yrs. I guess fridges you put in the dump after 3 yrs are more environmental than fridges that use too much hydro over their 30 yr lifespan!!

NOONE supports this product! It should be illegal to import garbage.
