Warning... It is not three or more repairs, but on the fourth major repair. 3 problems does not get you a new one, four does.
Secondly, the plan is generally useless for the first year, as you are stuck dealing with the mfr. They have their own batch of problems, and multi-delays as mentioned above in general.
Oh for old time quality versus today's junk stoves and washers and dishwashers. Oh yeah, and microwaves.

Indeed if the manufacturer covers the problem you encounter during the first year, you will have to deal with them. On the other hand, if it is not covered by the manufacturer (ex: electric pannel, accessories, 200$ worth of food for the fridge, etc) you will be dealing with FS. We do 3 repairs and if we need to repair it a 4th time, we will not. It's just a matter of expalining the service plan the right way and accordingly. That will vary from store to store unfortunately.
