Europe usually uses 220V and North America uses 110V.
Unless the power source that comes with the product is rated for 100-240V (like some newer products i.e. iPhone chargers, camera battery chargers...) then you need a voltage converter.
Furthermore, depending on what country you're in, you'll need a plug converter. Kensington makes an all-in-one adapter
