Is it just okay to hook a separate Equalizer to a Denon 1712 Receiver? If yes, then where can I connect the unit into receiver?

I don't believe there is a way to connect an EQ directly to your receiver. Your receiver already comes with a pretty good EQ in Audyssey MultiEQ XT.
May I ask what were your intentions with this?

You're correct. As I'm doing researches if it's possible, I found out that there is no way unless I have to make more component installations.
My intentions was merely out of curiousity just if I can only make more better of the sound quality I already had with my Denon 1712.
Thanks, JP.

Usually you can connect an EQ via the tape loop on a receiver but as already said, you dont need an EQ with the Audysssey circuit.
