I purchased speakers from futureshop a bit ago (covered by the return until the start of January holiday receipt). They are out of their packaging, and the packaging has been thrown away (unfortunately), though the manuals and everything else is with them. What is the nominal charge that would be incurred by returning cheap floorstanding speakers? They are a large item, and I don't know if I want to return them (they are great). They cost me $400 for the pair. Normally I wouldn't feel silly returning an item, however they are about 30 pounds each and stand between 3 and 4 feet tall (so they're pretty big).
I am impressed by Futureshop's customer service, which is why I would want to keep my business with futureshop in terms of speaker shopping. However, I feel I may be tempted to purchase more expensive speakers from futureshop on boxing day, and in such a case I don't know what I would be charged in returning these speakers, or if it is not possible to return them. In any case, I am satisfied with them, but I may want to purchase a more expensive alternative from futureshop instead (as I am left wanting something slightly more expensive than what I was convinced I needed in the first place). These were bought in store.
I hate being the customer who causes a hastle, which is why I'm just asking about this here as a theoretical question. I just want to understand what would happen, as I don't want to be the jerk who makes holiday returns difficult. Thanks in advance for any help! ![]()

There would be no charge for returning the speakers as long as all the accessories are there (manuals, wires, etc). Please be advised, however that Future Shop does not accept returns, exchanges or price protections/corrections on the 26th or 27 of December.

Hello there! As Ryguy has stated, there are no restocking fees applied to returned products with all accessories and packaging.
However, as you have stated you do not have the original packaging any more, there may be a charge applied. Each return is handled differently and I would suggest that you call or visit your local Future Shop location and speak with a Customer Service Specialist, as they will be the best person available to help you through your return.

Thanks for the help Bozoman777.
I figure if I see a deal on boxing day for something more expensive & better, I'll ask a salesperson there about the nominal charge before making any purchase. Either way I'm quite satisfied with these speakers.
