Hello,
I just bought the VSX-926-k pioneer receiver yesterday with the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series IV and I was told at the store that my component cable Xbox would be able to be set up through the receiver. Is that the case and how can I do that?
Thank you,
Will

I have the exact same problem. I'm trying to run the first generation Xbox 360 (no HDMI port) Component HD AV Cable into the Pioneer VSX-926-k receiver, but I don't seem to be able to get the settings right to be able to connect it to a Panasonic TCP30S60. Have you found a solution anywhere else?

You need to plug in a set of component cables from the amp to the TV. I don't believe that amplifier will upconvert. Meaning, if you plug in COMP cables in the amp, they also have to go COMP from amp to TV. It should be in the Pioneer manual.

The 926 DOES upconvert from component in thru the HDMI out.
Try adjusting the resolution settings/output from your Xbox. You'll have to connect directly to the TV to see a display of course, then reconnect to the amp. If you still can't get a picture, turn off the "video converter", found under "video parameter" in the "system setup" menu on the Pioneer.

Just spent the whole afternoon hooking up my
VSX-926-K pioneer receiver. The auto sound setup worked and heard sound on all speakers, but cannot get any sound. Tried Blueray, TV and Apple TV and video worked on all of them, but no sound. Mute button is not on. Also tried to connect separate audio cables along with the HDMI, but nothing worked except my sub woofer. Please help. |
Thanks
