Pioneer vsx 1326?

I'm looking for a new receiver to replace my 4 year old vsx 1018.
I couldn't find information on the net about this specific model. I've heard it might be a rebranded vsx 53 and others have mentionned it was more like the vsx 33.Can
you clarify?
where does it rank amongst the "non-elite" line?
How does it fair agaisnt the top receivers like the high end yamaha's or Denon?
I'd really like to have your input .
If any of the readers have made this purchase, your feedback would be greatly
appreciated as well.

Thank you

Re: Pioneer vsx 1326?

I purchased the VSX-1126 and think its just fine.  You need to be careful with the video pass through it will change the original source video output to the TV.  The AirPlay is an awesome feature.

The 1126 and 1326 are rebranded elite recievers, "unofficially" (needs confirmation)

Re: Pioneer vsx 1326?

The VSX1326 is actually a VSX-53. IMHO, Better than the Denon 3312 or the Yamaha 871 that they carry.

Note: As far as video goes, the signal is passed thru unaltered if it is 1080p. If not the Marvell processor does an outstanding job of upscaling, even a Wii came out looking pretty **bleep** good.
