I've just purchased the Polk Audio RM75FS online from future shop for $300 at a $600 discount. This deal sounds too good to be true. Is this a good system??? And I'm also wondering why this particular model # is nowhere to be found on the Polk Audio website!!!!

You might  have more luck finding it as just "RM75".  the "RM75FS" is the futureshop package that we've put together that includes a sub if I'm not mistaken.  Most products from Polk are pretty good and I haven't heard many complaints from customers about their products either.

I think you'll be more than satisfied with this product if you have a decent receiver for these speakers.

You will find that this is a very good speaker set from Polk, especially for the sale price. Very Good deal overall.

I just bought this package.  They're actually called the RM705 when they include the subwoofer, that may be why you are having trouble finding them on the website.

Every review I have checked out seems to rave about how good these speakers are and all the guys that work at Futureshop have told me this deal is unheard of.  

I'm still waiting for them to be shipped as they are on backorder, does anyone know when they may start shipping them out?

How powerful of a receiver should I get for this speaker set and which one would you recommend? my budget is $450.

The Denon AVR 790 would be a great Receiver with that speaker package. Its on clearance now for $499 but is easily worth the extra $50. It offers a lot of features for this price and has very good power to run your speaker package. Check out the specs and reviews.

Unfortunately the Denon AVR790 is not available anymore neither at FS or BB. I am looking at the Sony STR DN1010. It has some good reviews on the web. Does anyone have any thoughts about it?
