I've checked the search area and nothing applies to me so am posting this
This is a rundown on what i have
klipsch rf82 fronts
klipsch rc52 center
rtia4 for my surround and surround back
onkyo txsr607
yamaha ystsw90 sub.
Now my problem is the subwoofer, we recently bought a house and this sub was working perfect in my old room(yes it's my first subwoofer).now i have big basement and this sub isn't cutting it,the room is long 27' long10'wide and 8' high.
Ilisten to alot of music thats why i got the RF82(don't really need the sub for music) but i look at alot of movies too so i need it badly, is there a sub that would work for me, or would i need 2 subs?
my budget $400 tops.

Velodyne.com has a great subwoofer guide, you enter in LxWxH of the entire area (not just listening area but open spaces as well, i.e. living room that opens into a kitchen). In your case i would recommend a 12", a 10" might do the job as well.
subwoofer guide:

A good deal right now, if you can find it, is the VDR12 (it is exactly the same as the more expensive DLS4000R, except for the cabinet/finish):
Your other problem is your centre channel. The correct model is the rc-62 for properly timbre matching your front stage (L,C,R). Unfortunately future shop no longer sells it, but depending on you location you may be able to track one down for cheap.

Thanks for the help cxz this would make things abit easier for me, on the topic of the center channel i spoke to the people at klipsch and they told me it's fine once the front and center are the same series it's not a problem. the 52's work great

BTW, even if the center speaker is of the same series has the fronts, the sound almost never match perfectly the two front speakers. It's the problem with a horizontally designed speaker. The only speaker that can really match the others is an identical one.

As i said i picked up the pb10 nsd from svs and it worked well but after trying it out for 2 days i wanted the pb12 nsd , so i returned the 10" and got the 12"....man if you own any other sub get rid of it and get the pb12 nsd.( the guy at the store told me to try out the 10" and return it if i need the 12" instead)
Awsome solid and deep bass, now songs i usually skip i listen to them just to hear the bass.
i listened to the velodyne at future shop and it just dosen't match the bass from this thing.........pb12 nsd great subwoofer.. am very happy

I have to ask, why is it so important to match center and main speakers, don't they carry (mostly) different material?

You're mostly right. But when you have a sound that goes from one front speaker to the other one and is passing by the center channel between you want to keep the sound with the same character to not destroy the suspension of disbelieve that occur with a very good soundtrack.
Also, with multichannel music, it's very important to have a good match between all channels, not only the 3 fronts ones.
