Can anybody offer up thier thoughts on these Polk speakers:

Polk 5.1

I recently replaced my HTIB receiver with this one: Yamaha 7.1 , and now I'd like to add some comparable speakers. I'm definitely not an audiophile when it comes to my home theatre, so if I can get something in this price range or $100-150 higher for now I'd be very happy, but I'd definitely like to ensure I'm taking advantage of my new receiver too, and upgrading from the sound of my previous HTIB.

These seem to have decent reviews, so I was thinking of maybe grabbing this package now, then upgrading the 2 front speakers sometime this summer, and sliding the previous 2 front speakers back into the 7.1 configuration.

They are a decent set of speakers.  However, if you are upgrading your fronts, don't go to big.  I would stay with something roughly the same size.  A set of tower speakers will be more dynamic and will make all the other speakers sound "puny".

Try the energy take classics. Widely considered to be the best in that class.
