Hi there, I have a question. I would like to buy a turntable to connect it to my surround sound speakers. It's only optical speakers, no hdmi or other components. I would like to use these speakers for my turntable, but some receivers do not have an optical port. I found one receiver that did for a very cheap and affordable price. I want to connect my turntable (RCA) to the Receiver (in perhaps the TV audio RCA ports) and connect my optical cable to the receiver and to my home theatre. Is this possible? Will I get any sound or will it not work? I am very confused and I just want to play music on my vinyl's. ![]()

Your question doesn't quite make sense. Not sure how you have your speakers hooked up with an optical cable, but I think I know what you meant.
You can use any RCA input on your stereo, however you may require a pre-amp in between you turntable and your amp.
Plug in your turntable and see if you get volume out of it, if you don't, you need a pre-amp.
