does anyone know if you have to have a specific 3d receiver for a panasonic viera tv? My 2009 5.1, 1200watt samsung home theatre won't play all 5 speakers with the tv, yet they all work on the blue ray, sterio etc. Had a techie out, he doesn't know either. If you must have a specific 3d receiver, can you buy just the receiver to work with the existing speakers?
Thanks anyone for help! Is kinda frustrating!

You don't need a specific amp for the audio, only for 3D video. You can buy a new reciever and use the same speakers.
However, I think its a setting or connection, not the amp. Why are you hooking the TV to the amp...are you talking about to watch TV. Are you using a Bell reciever, a cable box or are you using the tuner of the TV.
Make sure the amp is set to 5CH Stereo or Dolby Pro Logic. TV also for the most part runs a 2 channel signal where as BluRay and DVD have a true 5.1 signal and the FM raadio is built into the amp so there isn't a connection issue.
