I bought a Sony Cyber-shot years ago form FS. Just starteded using again. was working downloaded pictures to computor. Was fooling around with settings etc. Now power shuts off whenever I change to camera or video. Can any one help.

How many years have you had the camera?
How old is the battery?
What happens after you charge the battery up?
First guess?
downloading pictures doesn't use much power.
using the camera or video model drains the power more.
you might need a new lithium battery. Small lithium rechargeables batteries have problems after a few years. It's a big reason why I seek out cameras that takes AA's. A little bulkier, but the AA's can be replaced for less than a Japadog.
