Those gold and diamond ones are just stupid. Why would I want to put a housing that's more expensive then the phone on the phone??! Just stupid.
I guess the cool thing for me about these 9700's are that they are one of 2 custom direct from RIM special editions of the 9700. The other of course being the RIM Monocle Edition. But I mean there are only 100 of those, and then there are apparently only 40 of these. I'd like to think they are of the rarest form of 9700 out there.

So, for those of you who didn't hear our Team Canada 9700's didn't come with the sweet matching wallpaper shown in the original contest page. I was kinda choked about that, so i decided to make a recreation of it! It's not perfect but it's darn near close as far as i care. It lines up really nice with the lines and curves of the phones case too, kinda an unexpected added bonus for those of us with the Canadian 9700. Let me know what you guys think.
I'm also planning on replacing the chrome bezel with a gold one in recognition of the hockey gold medals. oh, and removing the "telus" logo off the front bottom plate so the front is all black. I'll take more pictures after i get it all finished.
