I want the Telus prepaid LG optimus one phone, my intention is to switch sim cards with my existing sim since I want to keep same # and service provider. Can I do this?

If your present provider is Telus, then yes - you can just buy the phone and swap the SIM.

If not, you will need to unlock the phone.  Unlocking is outside the scope of forum discussion so you're on your own.
