I got a Koodo phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace) for my daughter and she loves it. Its the best (low cost) deal for a smart phone I could find where I didn't need to have a plan or buy Data. if you want to avoid data charges I suggest asking for "data block" to be added, its free and will avoid charges from an app that enables data after you disable it.
