Well Finally Telus upgraded to .122, checked out RIM site. Since I got ride of my old PC but kept the laptop though in the shop I managed to take my Storm to a Telus dealer where I purchased it. They did mine upgrading on site. Some settings had to correct though I noticed that after upgrade it seemed a bit sluggish meaning slow response. Turning off/on again didn't seem to improve so I tried the "Quick-Pull" for a reset. Now that helped, seemed responsive enough after every finger touch.
Today, on my Mac using Double-Twist (allows to transfer Itunes library) I transfered very many mp3's. Problem now I have is that my MP3 count is incorrect as shown on using media icon and none of my mp3's show up. Only way I can see is using menu>>explore>>blackberry>>music, this is only way I can see all my transfered mp3's. My mp3 count seems to change every time I turn on my Storm. Not sure whats going on. Started with 92 and then scanning showed up by itself changed to 113 and now after re-booting shows only 18. What the heck is going on, beats me??
Has anybody experienced this after upgrading to .122 OR am I the only one?? I tell you this is very frustrating, can't seem to resolve it yet.
Help and oh my media card is set correctly for mass storage. I have several wallpaper pics and I did transfer mp3 using DoubleTwist with OS .76.
Could use some help, please.

Here are a few steps that should fix it:
- Go to Options > Memory, press the (competitor) Menu button and select Remove the memory card.
- Open up the back of the phone and pull out the memory card. While you're there, remove the battery as well.
- Reinsert the memory card, then the battery.
- Wait for the phone to reboot and that should fix it! The phone will repopulate the songs on the memory card and it should recognize them all again.
As a heads up, if you are using QuickPull (the app) to reset your phone, that's fine, but it's just the equivalent to a soft reset. In some cases, a full hard reset by taking the battery out is required (and can fix stuff that even QuickPull is unable to fix.

When you say Memory card I presume you mean Mini SD Card, correct?? I will try this. I did see it "remove media card". Just as one would remove a USB flash drive, disconnect and remove while system is up. Didn't see the above option
Last night before I went to bed, I used "Quick-pull" again (third since upgraded to .122) just for the sake of it and when it re-booted it must have re-scanned and all my MP3's kicked in, now at 201. When one uses power on button, one doesn't really look at the mp3 count but in my case I did since the upgrade at the Telus Dealer.
One of the question that popped up during the Intro to App World and the RIMs response to save applications on the media card SD as opposed to on-board, not yet? Meaning that I guess at some point this option can be added via OS upgrade because on-board memory can run out so Mini SD memory can be used. I sure that this becomes a reality, pics,videos,mp3 can so why not Apps.

My problem was a little different. At first I could not use BlackBerry Media Synch. It would come up with a message requiring me to run BlackBerry Desktop Manager under Administrator rights. So I was using Media Manager instead which gave me the wrong song lists and counts. Finally I read on the BlackBerry forum that the problem could be corrected by downloading and installing the BlackBerry Media Sync 2.0 application, which I did. It has been working fine so far.
Only one caveat, it would not allow me to Sync some of my purchased iTunes that has the Content Protection set.
Be nice if I could unprotect these titles as I paid for them so why should I not be able to play them on whichever handset of mine.

Hey Dancer,
I downloaded the doubletwist program that zimer uses and it seems that all my protected music seems to be transferred to my (competitor). I haven't done a complete check but it looks like it's all there. when I used media sync it only showed about 200 songs but now there are over 400 on there so it looks like it.

As a heads up to original Telus Storm owners:
Telus has finally updated the operating system version to 5.0.0.419. You can get more info about the upgrade and how to perform it here:
http://www.telusmobility.com/en/BC/blackberry_stor
If anyone needs help with the upgrade, feel free to post and I'll help walk you through it. And please, make sure you back up your phone first, just in case there are any problems.
