Hi there,

I'm elligible for an upgrade and I'm looking at the Galaxy Nexus. Does Futureshop have any deals going for that phone for upgrades??

I always see they they give gift cards or other perks when you sign a 3 year contract. What about those who want to renew. Is there anything??

I don't wanna sound like a **bleep** but what would be the advantage of renewing my phone through Futureshop if I get the same price as Telus??

I'll imagine that at this point you've already gone and done your upgrade, but as far as doing them at a 3rd party retailer such as Future Shop there can be a couple of benefits :

1). In store promotions. Most of the time there are not any gift cards or special promotions on renewals. But sometimes there are. Usually it depends on the phone that you're taking, but we have offered gift cards on renewals before.

2). Market knowledge. Sometimes it may not be in your best interest to renew. Especially in the case of the Galaxy Nexus which is with most carriers, sometimes you can get a similar, or better deal with another company. You can still keep your number, and it makes you eligible for any other gift cards or promotions.

Other than that though there isn't much of a difference.

Does futureshop allow Fido Dollars to be used when doing a renewal/upgrade?

Generally you pay for the phone itself on your first billing cycle with the new phone, so you shouldn't have to worry about it in that regard. Are you able to use those Fido dollars to pay for a bill?

Unfortunately no, fido dollars aren't able to be applied towards your bill.

I actually have not yet upgraded my phone. I'm still looking into it. Well now since the screen of my iPhone cracked I will have to get one ASAP.

The Galaxy Nexus is 19.99$ with Bell and Rogers and Telus its 129.99$

Is it possible to get it price matched?? I mean its the same phone just at a different price.
