hi... i wanna buy a galaxy nexus, but you advertise it with bell or virginmobile plans... i believe the GN, like any google phone, can be unlocked and used with any SIM, is that right? and if so, can i buy the cell without a plan?
Wait a few more days; by then, Rogers and Telus will have the phone available so it will no longer be Bell exclusive. However, regardless whether SIM-lock exists or not (I believe there won't be), you are still bound by whatever carrier obligations there may exist; if Bell (or Rogers or Telus) decides that you must take a plan to get the phone when you walk out of the store's door, then that's the condition they have decided to enforce; you can call, cancel the plan the next day, pay the fees and keep the phone.
I've also heard that Wind will carry the GN also, but maybe at a later date.
