Being that we're "Future Shop" we spend a lot of time thinking about what lies ahead of us. With the Future Generation program, we're investing in our communities, our children and our environment to make sure we're building a better future for all of us. We're proud about being a member of your community and are excited about what the future holds!! Tech Lab (teachers + students) x technology = infinite possibilities
Every year Future Shop will award 5 Tech Labs worth $50,000 each to high schools across Canada. This ain't your momma's computer lab... Drafting labs, SMART boards, Virtual school programs, music composition & podcasting programs, to name a few tools and programs that have been launched in schools so far. Grants are to be used for the upgrade of one classroom, with a focus on new technology for students, you can fill out an application form here.
Green (you + us) + going green = infinite possibilities
As technology enthusiasts, we all use our fair share of energy. Future Shop is greenifying it's stores by installing high efficiency lighting, recycled flooring materials, high efficiency ventilation, updating & installing energy management systems and recycling programs. Our program's have helped to keep over 100,000 pounds of electronics out of landfills.
Community you + our associates = infinite possibilities
Not the online community, the actual community that we live and work in (novel concept right?). Future Shop is proud to donate over $2 million and thousands of volunteer hours into our communities each year. We work closely with the Boys & Girls Club, le Regroupement des Maisons de jeunes du Québec (RMJQ), United Way and the communities in which we operate stores to give back in meaningful ways.
