Hi, just bought one of these Jan. 20, 2011. I have put into the unit a harddrive from my other computer's (which died today). The harddrive is functional and has two partitions -- the main, boot partition and a second, data partition.
When i use the enclosure with the harddrive and connect directly to my new computer via USB link, both partitios on the hard drive are recognized and all is fine. However, when the unit connected through its ethernet port to my router, things are working only partially somewhat. The second data partition is recognized OK and i can access files on it. However, the first partition is only partially recognized. You can "see" it through the Lankdisk setup software. However, when you try to map it, an error occurs. Same if you go through Windows software: the first partition can be seen but it can't be mapped nor can files on it be accessed. If one tries, an error occurs. Any idea how to solve this issue?
Second issue is firmware update access. I notice the website which supports this unit should be at www.valgear.com. However, this link is not active so i am left without access to support or seeing if there is any firmware up-date. Any idea?
