I have two laptops. How do I print to the one hooked up to the printer?

The best thing to do would get yourself a wifi printer, if you don't want to buy a new one you can go on the one hooked up to the printer and set the printer to be shared, then on the other laptop you go add printers and add the shared printer.

Otherwise unplug the first laptop to plug the second laptop in.

Depending on your home setup, if both computers are running Windows 7, you can set up a HomeGroup and share your printer with the computer that doesn't have the printer.
If at least one computer isn't running Windows 7, you can still use File and Printer Sharing to use the printer on either laptop.
In both of the examples above, the printer will not print unless the computer it is attached to is turned on. If that's an issue, then you'll want to look into a wi-fi printer, as suggested above.
