Screwy Ordering System

I ordered a compurter cable on Dec 31.  I recieved an email at 10:05pm on that date that my order had been 'Processed'.  That was the last message i have had concerning this order.

 

I just spent 27:14 minutes on the cell phone (at daytime rates) with Some Customer Support guy who was very polite and courteous, but through no fault of his own was completely unable to help me in any way.

 

How can an item be in stock and take six days to ship?  It STILL has not been Shipped!  And the Customer Service Guy couldn't tell me when it might be shipped.  It might be shipped today, it might be shipped next week, or it may never be shipped at all.  No one can tell me.

 

Future Shop has always been pretty good an fairly reliable when I have ordered online in the past, but this level of NON-Service is completely unacceptable.  If I haven't heard something pretty darn soon you can keep your cable and I'll go to (competitor) or one of the dozen other companies who would love to take my money and who actually have an effecient customer service system.
