We would like to install a printer that our hotel guests...

We would like to install a printer that our hotel guests could print from their cel phones, preferable through bluetooth. What would be our options?

Hi There,

Happy to help but wondering if you can clarify - are you looking for an inkjet or laser printer? Are you looking for a single-function or multi-function printer?

If you have any ideas, I can provide a better, more targeted list of suggestions.

Thanks!

We haven't purchased the printer yet, but probably a B & W laser printer

Probably a bigger consideration will be a solution that doesn't necessarily involve any type of downloaded software for the phone, as this will be used for hotel guests that may not want to download anything to their phone for a single use.

A few thoughts...

  • will you be tracking how many pages each guest/user prints?  Thankfully this is not an inkjet.
  • will the user have access to the printer controls to "pair" their device to yours?
  • why do you want your printer to pair with a cellphone and not a computer?

This wireless laser printer looks appropriate, but it's not bluetooth.

The printer looks like it's more for home use, I'm concerned how fragile the paper loading looks.

Re: a printer that our hotel guests...

Thanks XL! I spoke with our printer buyer at the head office and this is also the printer that he would recommend - it has the ability to allow users to print from your hotel's Wi-Fi, from AirPrint (users can print from their iPhone, iPad, Apple device) or any mobile device using HP's e-print functionality.

Hope this helps and let us know if you have any further questions!
