I think any new printer will work with a netbook connected via USB.

 

However is your question about wireless printing? Then look for printers that support wifi printing.  Click on this link to see printers I've short listed with wifi capabilities...

BTW.... do you have an iPad in your future?  Consider looking for a wireless printer with "AirPrint".  HP and newer Epson printers have this capability.
