thats mighty low of you

so i'm building my own rig and while bumping around online sites for my video card i thought of checking you guys out.

i found it here at an AMAZING price, but you were out of stock, your webpage said to wait until the 9th thats today, on the 9th you simply REMOVED the page for the freaking video card.

now i have to find a new place to buy it, someing i could have done BACK IN 2011! but your website siad that you would have more.

so now i'm looking at another 1-2 weeks of shipping, a more expensive card cause i don't get boxing day sales, AND i have to pay for shipping.

i'm not asking for customer service, i'm putting it out there that you guys do lame stuff like that.

It probably has to do with the new 7970 that released yesterday and the 7990 that is very soon to follow. Plus, if you really the need the performance of the 6990 right away, two GTX 570's in SLI will do the trick.

a 7970 is pretty close to the performance of a 6990... has dx 11.1, runs cooler, bigger frame buffer (more ram)

It really has nothing to do with that.  The majority of people who post and take part here are not Future Shop employees (including myself).  The fact is, this forum is not a customer service one, and no one here can help with issues relating to customer service.  That, and this forum is not a sounding board for complaints where people aren't looking for any real resolution but just want to vent.  This is a place for people who enjoy technology of all types to talk about those things, and give advice to people looking to get their hands on new tech.  As this is a Future Shop operated forum, it only makes sense that when referring to products, they be ones sold at Future Shop. 

 

If you're upset with the experience that you received from Future Shop, your best course of action is to contact Customer Service and file a formal complaint through them.  That's the only way something can be done to actually correct the problem.  If you just want to vent about it, I'd suggest writing a blog.  Other than that, there isn't really anything that we here can do to help you.
