Hi ! I was wondering if anybody else got a 3 cell battery instead of a 6 cell battery as listed in the specs for the hp mini 110 1033 cl refurbished at 249.99 with intel atom n270, 1gb ddr and 1.6ghz, 160 gb.....
the netbook release date was on november 9. got mine shipped quickly, on november 12.. however, i realized the battery that came in the box with the netbook is a 3 cell battery instead of a 6 cell battery as it should be.
called the customer service... should get back to me as soon as possible,
as i was the first one to '' report " this problem, the lady who got my call was of no help and couldnt tell me how the matter will be dealt with .. i mean, are they going to ship me a 6 cell battery and can i return the 3 cell in a store ? do i need to pay the shipping fee if i need to ship them back the 3 cell ? i guess no, as they made a mistake. la loi sur les consommateurs calls it de la mis représentation...
will they offer a discount ? i checked on futureshop.ca and the only hp 6 cell battery theyre selling is about 149$ !
if it happened to you too, you would be better check it out and report the problem !
as i am posting these lines, the hp mini 1033 refurbished specs still list the battery as a 6 cell battery !
( i printed the webpage and did a print screen, )
just need to check out the battery, much smaller than a 6 cell would be !
and it clearly says 3 cell battery on the little sticker attached to it !
mmm so i am still waiting for an email from the customer service, to find out what options are available to me !
really love the hp mini
dont know what the big problem was...
but such a good deal., 249$, and as they had something like more than 200 available, i am sure the problem hp had to fix was not such of a big deal
( we can think of the '' webcam '' issue, how they forgot in the factory to remove the teinted film in front of the integrated webcam lense... )
came really new, no scratches, nothing, didnt look like it has been manipulated before
was hesitating between this one and the msi black u100 available for 299$ at (competitor)...
will wait to find out whats going to happen with the 6 cell battery, and then ill make a decision
