Microsoft Works is a dirt-cheap productivity package from Microsoft with basic word processing and a few other interesting features. Its not a trial version, its the real thing, Due to its low cost companies frequently pre-install Works on their consumer grade machines. Of course you're a lot better off with Office 2007 but Works 9 is pretty good for free!

Credible_Chris is right! It is indeed a full version. For most basic users, Microsoft Works will work just fine. The biggest problems are that the default save mode is as a Works file, and these are not always compatible with other programs (a pain when you need to send files to others by email), and that the program is a bit basic for more advanced needs. Still, for basic word processing, creating basic spreadsheets and more, its actually a fairly decent little package (I used it for years before finally upgrading to Office). And the best news is that it is indeed included as the full (non-trial) version, meaning you have a functioning product without having to pay extra.
