My HP pavilion dv6 laptop screen recently got cracked. I think it is a 15.4, or 14 inch screen. The crack runs across the whole screen. How much will it cost to get it replaced and my warrenty recently ran out.
Usually in these situations you would need to replace the whole screen, which would run you around $500. I would take it into your local FS and see if they can give you a more accurate estimate.
If you are out of warranty, check with your local store as they may also be able to get you a less expensive version of that screen, there are several independant vendors who may have compatible screens to OEM spec.
Note that even under warranty, screens generally aren't covered. So outside of repairs that would generally void a warranty, the same considerations can apply in either case.
