I have an Acer Aspire One D255 with an Intel Atom N450 processer (1.66GHz, 512 KB cache) can this be upgraded to bigger processer with 1 or 2 GB cache. I like my netbook size just not it's limitations.
I'm pretty sure that Intel does not sell the Atom processors seperately and even if they did, the price you would pay for a small performance increase is not worth it imo. If your netbook only has 1GB of RAM, the more simple and cheap upgrade would be to put 2GB of RAM in it. Also, check what is running in the background of your laptop and uninstall anything that you dont need anymore.
