I purchased a Toshiba 15.6" Qosmio in May 2011 and ever since I bought it I have had trouble with the speakers on it. They will cut out and they will not work again for a couple of restarts of the computer. The computer also Blue Screens alot. When I asked a tech person at FS they told me to reinstall the drivers and I have done that a few times and tried updating them, nothing has worked. Should I send it out? I bought a PSP

Hi There,
Sorry for the issues with your laptop. If the speakers on the laptop keep cutting out, then the problem is most likely a hardware issue and I recommend that it be sent back.
Secondly as for the “Blue Screen”, it could be many factors (software, hardware, drivers, etc) and it is a tough one to diagnose. But if all else has failed I recommend sending it back as well (at the same time as the speaker repair).
Hope this helps!

BTW.... what happens if you plug stereo headphones in? Do you have the same sound problems?

There is no change when headphones plug in. This seems to happen more often when my computer first starts up or awakes from sleep or hibernation.

It may not be the speaker then..... if the problem is also on headphones, than it could be the electronics or software feeding the speakers.
