Refurbished laptops are laptops that have had defective parts, but have been fixed and thoroughly tested by the manufacturer. They should work just like a new computer would, but the parts typically aren't new. They're often sold at prices much lower than the laptop normally would have sold for when it was 'factory fresh,' but they often also come with much shorter warranties than brand new computers, too.

I don't think there is an Average discount, it all depends on the specs of the laptop. I would say you can sometimes save approximately $100-$300 by getting refurbished.
As for the extended warranty I do not believe they offer an extended warranty on refurbished computers, however if they do it would be the same as anything else since the warranty price is based on the price of the product and not the product itself
