I had my sights set on getting this PC, and I have my money pool ready and today I looked for it online here on futureshop.ca and the computer is nowhere to be found.

Did they stop selling it, or is it a temporary website thing? 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's still in stock in some stores, so I'd suggest contacting the stores near you to see if they have it. If none of them have it, then it may reappear on the site when the warehouses receive more stock. I can't check if they actually will though, so that's just a guess.

hey I was looking at the same thing at i live in calgary. Is there any in calgary? Can the be a price drop because you guys mostly likely want to get rid of them?

They're not marked as Clearance yet, so no price drop due to clearing them out. You can check stock for individual stores on the website or by contacting the store you want to head to. When I last checked there were some in Calgary, but not many.

Odd.  I had signed up for a price watch for this computer when it was still listed on the web site, and I just received a notification today for a drop of $50, down to $1349.99.

Does this mean it's available again?

The above link is broken. However ,FS stores are stocking the FX6860, and at 1499. its a good deal if your a MW3 or BF3 gamer and dont want to tinker!. (You cant build one for that price) I bought the FX6800 from FS 2 yrs ago and its still humming. I upgraded the video card to a GTX560Ti and its been a loyal gaming machine.

However be warned, Gateways motherboards are locked, so no overclocking the cpu or ram.

And Im almost positive the SSD ,while large enough for OS and games WILL default to 3gb/s, not 6gb/s.

Theres a spot for SLI or Crossfire (GTX560Ti is a good card) but double check the power supply first.

Me thinks, the motherboard is where they cut their costs. If you run SLI pop the plate in front and put another fan.

Out of the box, it will play any game at ultra levels , But dont expect to see much info about it on Google for a while, I think its made especially for FS. Its a sec gen intel I7 , and 3rd is out now, but I wouldnt wait for a price drop.

Im buying this one if the MB supports 6gb/s for the ssd.

Hi Cody117 I noticed your email was quite recent , look for sku number 10192479 gateway FX6860 to be back on line in the next few days , we just did a small buy with a reduced cost I expect latest by Monday , but could be as early as Saturday for WEB store posting If you also want a good monitor and like benq hold off until the 20th as will have a nice bundle ready then with one of their higher end gaming Montiors If you like samsung we always have those available to bundle at a discount when not already on sale. If it is a samsung sale week, there is no further reduction for bundle but the savings are great. Thanks. Ian
