hey i have had my hp labtop for 2-3 months and the batte...

hey i have had my hp labtop for 2-3 months and the battery isnt lasting very long, each time i charge it, it dies quicker, i was wondering if i can take it back, it has a year warranty?

What happens if you charge it overnight?
Do you run your battery down to 10% before recharging?

Which laptop model is this?

From what I remember, batteries are considered consumables and may not be covered.

Being that it has only been a couple months the battery should still be under warrenty

The battery will be covered for the first year of warranty, if it performs at a much lower level than it should then HP should cover it's replacement. You can contact your nearest Futureshop or HP directly to have that tested and replaced if needed.

Please call 1800 HP INVENT , have your serial # handy. They will diagnose it with you and take it from there.
