Hey, I have a '96 Elantra. I took the stereo from my old car because I want to put it into the Elantra. However I can't figure out how to get the stereo console open to remove the old stereo.
I can get it open to a certain point. But then it feels like there is something holding it in place. Possibly wires?
If anyone knows step by step directions of how to open it up that'd be great.
Or is it possible to get futureshop to install it even though it wasn't purchased there? If so, what would the cost be just to get the deck put in, considering im happy at this point with the current speakers in the car.

If you have the correct mounting kit, wiring harness (and maybe antenna adapter) for your vehicle - and the deck you have still has the wiring harness and mounting cage, then we can install it for you.
Basic deck install is $55 and has a lifetime warranty on workmanship. If everything is there and working we can have it in and done in about an hour. Call a local FS for an appointment
