Aux / USB input installation.

Hey, I just bought a 2007 Mazda 6 with the Bose stereo option, but it doesnt have anything to plug my phone into for music.  I don't have an iPod or iPhone so I don't want a connection for those.  I'd like to be able to connect my phone directly to my cars stereo via a USB or AUX port, but I havent found anywhere that has anything like that yet.

I'd rather not replace my stereo with a single din car deck and as far as I know, nobody makes a dash kit for double din decks for mazda 6s before 2009.

And yes, I have tried FM transmitters and they produce too much static and have poor sound quality / volume.

Any suggestions would be awesome,

Thanks.

Re: Aux / USB input installation.

Sometimes those decks have an AUX or USB port in the back that can be extended and rerouted to the somewhere accessible, try having a quick look in your user manual to see if that is available.  If so then all you would have to do is pull the deck out plug in the desired cable and route it to the front of the deck somewhere.

Re: Aux / USB input installation.

You can also try an FM Modulator (example:Connect Pro CP60 Web ID:10159925...although I'm not sure if it's visible on the website) It does require professional installation, but even with that it doesn't really cost that much more than one of the higher end fm transmitters(it's also on sale until April 12th, 2012!!). It gets wired in through your car's antenna and you will get good sound almost all the time.
