Bazooka Tube Subwoofer Install

Hi there,

I am looking into getting a Bazooka Tube (BTA8100FH) subwoofer and getting it installed in an 07 Civic 4 dr.

I just had a few questions related to the setup and install of the subwoofer if I got it installed at my local Futureshop.

- Will there be any major modifications of existing wiring required during the install? Basically I want to have the ability to remove the system easily at a later date without leaving permanent wiring modifcations to the car.

- Do I require an amp install kit and a connection to be run to the battery for this subwoofer?

- Will this system work well with the stock headunit and speakers in the car?

- How long does the install usually take?

Thanks a lot.

Re: Bazooka Tube Subwoofer Install

It's a great add-on for the price.

If you drop by a store they should have a demo version they can use in your car, so you can see how it will sound. (it won't be the greatest because it's a wireless FM mod unit, but it will give you an idea).

That unit should come with all the wiring needed for the installer to install it.

It hooks up behind the stereo, then the wiring is rooted along existing wiring to the trunk (usually).

The best place to put the tube depends on the vehicle. I'd ask to keep the wiring long in the trunk so you can try it in different places. But keep in mind the port, or speaker side of the tube likes to be up against a 'corner' of you trunk. This is how the whole unit is designed to work the best.

Then it's just mounted with supplied straps, so you can easily remove it if needed.

Hope you enjoy it!
