Play my phone music files in my car

I want to be able to plug my Samsung Galaxy S into my car audio to play my music files. What do I need? My car is an '06 and has a basic CD player and factory speakers. I'm looking to upgrade my audio experience while I'm driving and use my phone as an iPod in terms of music uploading. Any help/suggestions would be great - thanks!

Re: Play my phone music files in my car

The cheapest and quickest way is to get an FM transmitter for your phone and receive the signal through the car radio. Many bluetooth speaker phones have this capability.

Thanks XL but I have tried that in the past and I would rather have a direct line as I felt the audio quality was sub-par with the FM transmitter...I'm thinking I need to replace my factory deck with one that has an AUX input but I'm not sure how I go about doing so...

Re: Play my phone music files in my car

Three options for a 2006 Hyundai Tuscun.

1. Wireless FM transmitter - If it works it works, if it doesn't it's static-y

2. Wired FM transmitter - Way better. Depends on your stereos fm capability. Comes in as a quality FM channel.

3. Replace the Deck - way more options, usb, aux in, bluetooth, nav, video...............

here are some double din units that will fit -> Double Din units

single din units that will fit with a mounting kit/pocket -> single din

only other parts you will need would be a matching harness.
