compustar 1wamsf problem

I just replaced my car battery and now the compustar starter I had installed does not work. Does it need to be re-programmed? Is there something I can do to see what is going wrong?

Re: compustar 1wamsf problem

Thanks for the question.

I would need to know if the device is still locking/unlocking the doors etc. before I can supply you with the correct solution.

You may also want to give your local store a call or stop by, I am sure they can help you as well.

Please post the requested info so we can get this resolved for you.

Re: compustar 1wamsf problem

To program a remote for compustar (must do all remotes at once)

1. cycle the key to the on position then off 5 times

2. Lights will flash once

3. Push lock button (lights will flash), push lock button on remote 2 (lights will flash)

4. wait 5 seconds and the lights will flash twice

try lock and unlock on remote to confirm it worked.

If you disconnected the battery for sometime all the programming is gone. SO DO NOT TRY TO REMOTE START THE CAR OR IT MAY DAMAGE THE STARTER. Go to a Connect Pro shop to get the tach and whatever other programming done.  Should be in and out in a minute or two as long as everything is still working as it should
