After the Recent windows vista update my computer freeze...

After the Recent windows vista update my computer freezes up alot. Is there way a to revert back to the previous version? and if i bring in my computer to have it reformated will the techs go through my personal files? or should i delete them before hand?

Try running 'System Restore'. This is a feature in Windows Vista that allows you to roll back changes done to the system, in the event something goes wrong. You should be able to roll your system back to a restore point from before those Windows Updates were done. Simply click Start, type 'system restore' in the Start Search box without quotes, and hit enter to get started.

 

While it is policy not to go through a customer's personal data (and in most cases against privacy laws) it wouldn't hurt to remove anything you absolutely don't want seen, just in case. Only if you request a data backup is it sometimes necessary to take a closer look at your data, and even then, it's often just folder names and filenames that are checked and verified.
