Re: Coprocessor driver

The coprocessor driver would be included in the chipset driver package. It should have an installer that installs the whole package at once.

Re: Coprocessor driver

There is other files within the folder that look like there separate from the file will those get installed to with the packaged files and if i just get windows to find the driver on my desktop will it install all the packaged file or just the driver for the device its updating? And windows offers a optional update and its called Nividia-display ,otherhardware-Nifidia geforce 9200 would this update contain those files to the chipset to?and should i trust windows update for these updates or the manufacturor it looked like to me that the one windows was offering was the one i needed witch was otherhardware  because windows wanted coprocessor drivers for other device?

Re: Coprocessor driver

The update you mentioned from Windows update is for your graphics card, not the coprocessor or any part of the chipset. As for installing the chipset drivers there should be an installer file in the package that will extract and install all the files contained in the chipset package. Using Windows to find the latest driver should not be needed.

Re: Coprocessor driver

I would actually recommend you get the latest graphics drivers straight from nVidia.  You can find the current one for the Geforce 6200 here.  Now, in this case the VGA stands for Video Graphics Adapter and is your graphics drivers no matter which port you use(VGA, DVI, HDMI, etc.)

As for why there are multiple downloads for the same driver it's because the model of computer you have has more than one hardware configuration, so they need to supply the different drivers for each configuration even though some of them might not apply to your computer specifically.

Re: Coprocessor driver

Sorry a bit of dyslexia reading your post there, but nVidia supplies the exact same installer for both model numbers.

As for the other drivers, if you don't need the functionality of the wifi or the dial up modem then you don't need to install those. Personally I like to have all the drivers installed though.

Re: Coprocessor driver

You will only need one of them, which one depends on what wireless card is in your computer. Without knowing that you'll need to try them one at a time until the wireless works.
