Hi, 1 months ago I decided to use the fingerprint thing on my vista HP laptop and everything work fine until 2 weeks later. First it detected a missing file: Error loading c:\PROGRA~1\BIOSCR~1\VeriSoft\Bin\ASTSVCC.dll -- The specified module could not be found and the fgprint driver wouldn't work anymore, my laptop couldn't even detect the driver. So after searching on the web for some solution, I found out on the HP site that I should remove the entire verisoft program of my computer and reinstalled it with the giving program on their site. After I did that It worked but only for 3 days and now the thing pissed me right off!!! I tried reinstalling it many many times but now I get a error while installing the fingerprint driver: Error 1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\...ATMinInst.msi

Can someone please help me... should i bring my laptop to futureshop and let them fix it or should I reinitialize my computer to get back the original files... or does anyone has a solution...

Hi, it's still me... ok i just did a system restore from 2 weeks ago and I completly unistall the verisoft and i reinstall it... now the message doesn't show when I try to intall it but after the fingerprint reader is installed i can't registrer it in the verisoft because it still doesn't detect it...

I really tried everything now...I would really like to use it like before... when there was no problem

Error 1316 is an irritating installation error. It pops up when a software is being installed, uninstalled or repaired on your computer. Follow the following guidelines to fix this error:

    1. Use Windows Installer Clean Up
    2. Use a Registry Fixing Utility
    3. Change Windows Installer Registry Information
    4. Check the Security Details of the Concerning File
