Try powering the laptop right off by holding the power button down for about ten seconds. Once it's turned off, remove the AC power cord and the battery, to cut all sources of power from the laptop. After leaving it for about thirty seconds, replace the battery and plug the AC power cord back in to the laptop, and try turning it back on again.
If this full power reset works, your computer should start up and load Windows as normal. If you're still getting nothing on the screen even after performing the above troubleshooting, I recommend bringing your laptop with your receipt back to your nearest Future Shop for service.
