To clarify...

  • which printer model is this?  Some printers have chips in the cartridges so you cannot reinsert them.
  • how old is the printer?
  • how often do you use the printer?  Could you have plugged nozzles?
  • did you push hard enough to puncture the seal when insert the cartridge?  BE CAREFUL, removing a fully loaded cartridge with a punctured seal risks spilling ink all over the printer as you look underneath it.
