The only thing I'll add to this is to ensure that you are using the correct RAM in your notebook. To select your RAM, please consult the manufacturer for more information or use a good memory scanner to determine just what memory is compatible. Good luck!

Funny you mentioned that, on the manufacturers site for this laptop it states this machine takes DDR, but infact it take DDR2. So yeah, double-check the RAM that's in your computer. I had FS look over the site to see which RAM I needed and another competitior across the road, both said DDR not DDR 2. Anyhow, it works great.

Check your "manual"? Nearly all computer manufacturers avoid including it now-a-days. And reading from a manual still isn't as useful as actually seeing someone do it. Even if your laptop is different, the above video still shows the basic steps to follow when upgrading your RAM.
