Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR)

Is Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR)  any good ?

I see from reviews that there are failures with this mico sd card, dispite fact is cheaper in price compare to other similar brands.

Is it as reliable as Sanddisk ?

I have a 8 gb Sandisk micro sd card and I use it on my Android tablet and takes long long time to scan and load icons on tablet upon startup, because of media scan from micr5o sd card.

If I use  Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR) would it be a lot faster since it suppose to be high speed or does that make any difference ?

Thank you.

Re: Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR)

[ Edited ]

I upgraded the crummy 16GB Class 2 card in my phone to this one shortly after I got the phone, and I have not had a problem since I did. All the problems I did have with the phone have since disappeared, leading me to believe that the shipped card was the problem.

I love it. No problems with storage, failing, speed, etc. I found that while it is a class 10, it doesn't transfer files much faster, but when I take pictures with my phone, the time between when I push the shutter button and the picture is written to the card is a lot faster. So I get shots now that are very close to what I am trying to shoot for (little delay between pushing the button and when the picture is taken, with no loss of focus or quality of the shot).  As for startup, it does take a few seconds for the icons to pop up, but I fond it was a bit faster than the old card.  You'll like the extra space too (I know I do - my phone doesn't have much internal memory).

I'd recommend it, but keep an eye out for sales. I hate spending a lot of money on MicroSD cards because I find they are overpriced compared to most other forms of memory (likely because MicroSD and smartphones is a very lucrative market). I bought mine on sale for $70 off the regular price, so if you're not in need right away, it might be best to wait for a sale to come up.

Hope that helps!

JB

Juice0904, how much did you pay for yours ?

About  $ 59.99 ?

Is that suppose to be good price ? It doesn't say it it on sale but just says "Amazing Price!".

That is not the regular price, right ?

Thanks.

When I look at the Future Shop website, I do not see "Amazing price," but I do see that it is at the same regular price it was when I first considered getting it. I got it at the price you mentioned at the beginning of December. I don't know if or when it will go on sale again, but I can tell you that the current price it is sitting at is not a sale price.

Re: Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR)

Hey Guys,

Just a small reminder. The community is not set up to discuss product prices :smileysad:

Here's the guidelines in question:

Discussing prices.
This is not a forum for discussing prices. We recognize that the issue of prices of products or services may come up but we do not want it to be the focus of the Forum. The Forum is to discuss our common love - great technology. For legal reasons we do not permit references to competitors’ or their prices. If you wish to refer to a Future Shop price then please recognize that prices change over time. A price that is current today may not be correct tomorrow. Please check the current prices before relying on any information.

Thanks for understanding.

Re: Lexar 32GB MicroSDHC Memory Card (LSDMI32GBSBNAR)

Sorry about that, JS.

Strictly speaking, this is a solid memory card, and while there are reviews out there of failing cards, I could easily find reviews like that for about every card made. It's a known fact that in mass production there are instances of electronics products simply coming off the line either defective or missing components or whatever. It's not common, and it's not likely that it will happen to you. If it does, you can always return the item for a refund or exchange for a different card. That's part of why the return policy exists.

I'd definitely recommend the card though :smileyhappy:
