PSP - 60 Day Repair Guarantee?

Alright, so I dropped off my laptop at Futureshop about 2 months ago, and it came back a week after dropping it off, not fully repaired. There was a key on the keyboard which was broken (not physically, was a defect), wifi connectivity issues, loose keyboard keys, right click/left click issues, dead power adapter, etc. So the laptop comes back after a week of dropping it off, and most of the issues are resolved, except the keyboard keys still remained loose (as in, the hinges were probably broken), and the broken key was placed back into the laptop, just the hinge was probably adjusted...First of all, this was injust, because I didn't buy my PSP for them to put back old, broken parts back in, and just slightly repair them. By the way the key still remained very very loose, everytime you hit it, it would feel as if it's about to break. The next thing they did was change my hard drive, apparently there was an issue with it..I was fine with that, but they didn't load back all the defaults on the laptop. For instance, HP laptops come with their default HP applications, Microsoft Starter, etc. The Windows key wasn't even entered, this is ridiculous. So then, I didn't accept it and spoke to the person in charge, and they said they would put in a new keyboard and also put in the correct defaults as it wasn't done right.

NOW it's been 2 months since the first drop off, still not completed. Everytime I go in or call, I'm told that it's not completed yet. Now, my question is...Do I qualify for the 60 Day Repair Guarantee? It's been exactly 64 days.

Re: PSP - 60 Day Repair Guarantee?

@ElizabethS I had called them before and they said nothing could be done as they weren't involved, I have to talk to the people at the specific store. When I talk to one of the tech people, they say that they aren't authorized to make the exchange, only the manager is. I called the manager on his shift, and he was supposed to return my call, which hasn't happened yet...it's been over 24 hours now since the call...

Re: PSP - 60 Day Repair Guarantee?

Ok, so I went in today and after about 30 minutes of arguing back and forth, and lies being told my the person in charge, we came to a conclusion of a replacement. I will be going there tomorrow to get the replacement, but as I believe, the statement states:

"If your product is found defective under normal usage, we will provide a gift card in the value of the original purchase price so you can purchase a new one. "

Am I looking at the correct policy for my situation?

By the way, I will keep you updated as to what happens.

That quote is out of the PEP policy, the PSP policy will replace the product with an equivalent product currently sold on a feature by feature comparison. If you don't want that particular model they choose for you, you can get the current value of that model on a gift card to use.

[ Edited ]

Ok, so I went in today...and was going to do the exchange...

My original laptop in repair - $699

Laptop which I chose - $649

They told me that my laptop's value is $599.....They wanted me to pay $50 on top. They said they would waive that $50, if I took the PSP. PSP price = $159.99. So I agreed, as it would only cost me $109.99 because I would have to pay that $50 right?

Then...on the receipt I see that my laptop was comparable with a different laptop which was $699, and I was never given that one as a choice. I also noticed that there would be $50 left, which would have had to come to me as a store credit, or cash. Instead, both the salesman and General Manager lied to me and said that I would have to pay $50 on top....

Now you tell me, who's right? In my opinion, and Futureshop customer service's, I'm supposed to be given $50, and not charged $50.
