Unable to enter sleep mode

Hi, I'm having some problems with my Windows 7 desktop computer.

The problem seemed to just start today where I left my computer running for a while and I began to enter sleep mode automatically, only 2 seconds later it exits sleep mode and returns to my desktop. I tried to see what would happen if I just enter sleep mode manually and the same problem happens. I haven't installed anything new today so I'm completely lost as to what the cause of the problem might be so any help would be appreciated.

Re: Unable to enter sleep mode

Click the start button on the bottom left hand corner and in the search box type device manager click the device manager and look for network adapters expand the network adapters then double click the expanded network adapters witch will bring up network adapters properties what your looking for is the power management button click it when your there you should see allow this device to wake the computer uncheck the box next to that sentence then click the ok button on the bottom of the properties page see if that works for you :smileyhappy:

Re: Unable to enter sleep mode

Yeah I gave it a try and it seems to have worked there were no immediate restarts or anything, thanks.
