Nowadays, there are very, very few viruses that can't be removed without reformatting the system and restoring everything back to the original factory settings. If simple virus and spyware scans have been unable to remove the threat (try Bitdefender, Spybot, or even the OneCare trial) then a restore is your next option. If you're unable to perform the restore, bring your tower in to your nearest Future Shop where the technicians can perform the restore for you. If you need data backed up beforehand, this can be done, as well. Service fees apply.
